Our new organ is almost finished and is being assembled in the workshop of Saint John's Abbey Organ Builders in Minnesota.  After it is assembled there, it will be taken apart and shipped to Leawood in mid-October and reassembled here over a period of about 3 weeks.  Then the task of "voicing" the organ will begin, essentially "teaching" each of the 3,000+ pipes to sing beautifully and freely in the acoustic space of our church.  The voicing process will take about 3 months, with organ builders working in the church all day, every day.
