Liturgy Coordinator:

We’re seeking a full-time Liturgy Coordinator to prepare liturgical ministers, spaces, and artifacts for church activities & liturgies. The successful candidate will be a practicing Catholic in good standing and familiar with the Roman Catholic liturgical tradition. The position requires strong organizational, administrative, inter-personal, and communications skills, and ability to work on Sundays. Send cover letter and resumé to [email protected].

Reports to:  Associate Director of Liturgy and Sacraments 

Duties/Responsibilities: 

1. Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise Sunday Sacristans, Altar Servers, Lectors, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, Ministers of Hospitality, Altar Guild, and Floral Arts Guild, assisting with training and formation.
2. Be present for or provide for delegated presence at all liturgies on The Lord’s Day, Solemnities, funerals, and other parish liturgies and events as needed and as supervisory duties require.
3. Maintain good order in sacristies, sanctuary, nave, chapels, and narthex, as the worship of God, stewardship and hospitality require.
4. Ensure the timely procurements, cleaning, maintenance, and replacement of all liturgical books, vessels, vestments, altar bread and wine, candles, oils, and holy water.
5. Assist with administrative tasks related to sacramental celebrations.
6. Assist with logistics for weekly, monthly, seasonal and occasional sacramental formation events.
7. Participate as a member of the parish staff, ministry area staff, and clergy-staff liturgy team.
8. Participate in annual and seasonal planning of calendars, schedules, ritual patterns, and special events.
9. Assist in the development and administration of the parish budget for liturgy and sacraments.
10. Model radical and magnanimous hospitality for all liturgical ministers.

 
Qualifications required: 
Practicing Catholic in good standing; minimum of bachelor’s degree and/or relevant knowledge and experience; familiarity with Roman Catholic liturgical economy and tradition; working knowledge of liturgical documents, books, rubrics, and artifacts; strong organization and communication skills; facility in the use of standard computer applications, and capacity to master and oversee the use of Ministry Scheduler Pro (MSP).
