The St. Michael Choristers is our liturgical choir for singers in Grades 4-8, under the direction of Dr. Kevin Vogt. If there is room in the choir, musically advanced and socially mature Third Graders may be allowed to participate with permission of the director. Membership is ordinarily limited to 24 singers. Priority to is given to those who are able to make a stable and regular commitment.
Our choristers receive a comprehensive musical, liturgical, and spiritual training. This training prepares them to sing at the 10:30 am Mass once or twice each month from October through May. In addition, the St. Michael Choristers sing at the 4:00 pm Mass on Christmas Eve and the 10:30 am Mass on Mother's Day, as well as special events such as our annual Advent Lessons and Carols service. We have also been invited this year to sing at the Archdiocesan GAUDEAMUS banquet.
Choristers rehearse before school three (3) mornings a week (T, W, F) during the school year from 7:15 to 7:50 am.
