Join us for a special Hallow launch event on Sunday, November 30th, after the 10:30 morning Mass in the Parish Hall. Special guest, Nathan Crankfield, joins us to introduce the Catholic prayer and meditation app as he will present on the features, insight into the Pray25 Advent Challenge: Be Still, and how to access all of the great resources that our partnership with Hallow has to offer. Doughnuts and juice will be made available for all those in attendance.
Nathan Crankfield converted to the Catholic faith at 13 years old, becoming the first Catholic in his entire family. He went on to attend Mount St. Mary's University, where he was commissioned as a US Army Infantry Officer upon graduation. After completing Airborne and Ranger School, Nathan went on to serve as a Platoon Leader for a combat deployment to Afghanistan with the 82nd Airborne Division.
Nathan now serves as the Sales Manager for Hallow. He is also the Founder of Seeking Excellence, where he hosts a podcast and coaches young adults on living life with excellence. He lives in Kansas City with his wife, Emily, and their two young children, Jordan and Rosalia.
The theme for this Advent Pray25 challenge is Be Still.
This Advent, we invite you to discover deeper stillness amidst the chaos of the holiday season, just as Mary did that first Christmas. Join millions around the world as we dive into the story of the Nativity through reflections on the infancy narratives, powerful excerpts from The Reed of God by Caryll Houselander and The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry by John Mark Comer, and moments of silence and contemplative prayer.
Join us in this 25-day journey, starting December 1!
The Advent Pray25 waitlist is now available on our parish page in the Hallow App.
Kids Advent: Finding Fiat
If you’re hoping to spend more time in prayer with your family this Advent, you don’t want to miss our incredible Kids Advent 2025 challenge: Finding Fiat. We’ll journey with young Grace Brumley, who some of you may know from our popular kids’ series Saints Alive, while she prepares for the role of Mary in her school’s nativity play!
The Finding Fiat waitlist is now available on our parish page.
St Michael the Archangel + Hallow
We are excited to partner with Hallow, the #1 Catholic prayer app, to help deepen our relationship with God through guided prayer and meditation. Hallow offers content for prayer, mental health, sleep, audiobooks, sacred music, and more.
Our goal in this partnership is to help you encounter Jesus in prayer, build a daily prayer habit, connect with your faith community, and strengthen our parish’s mission through prayer.
All parishioners and school families—whether using the free version or a subscription—are invited to join St Michael the Archangel’s parish page on the app. Here, you can share prayer requests, participate in prayer challenges, and grow in faith together. Each time you pray for someone, they’ll be notified and encouraged.
Student accounts cannot access the community tab, so we recommend parents create their own accounts to join our parish page and experience the power of prayer as a community.
To join, visit hallow.com/parish/, search by zip code 66224, and follow the prompts. Joining our community page is free.

Hallow helps millions of people grow closer to God through guided prayer, meditation, Scripture, and sacred music. You can even pray alongside Fr. Mike Schmitz, Sr. Miriam James, Jonathan Roumie, Mark Wahlberg, and many more.
Once connected, you’ll be able to share prayer requests, encourage one another, and join parish-wide prayer challenges throughout the year.
Our very first challenge was the How to Pray Challenge, back in September 2025. This was a beautiful opportunity to deepen your relationship with Christ and grow in prayer as a parish family.
