All of our mission efforts are made possible by the generosity of parishioners like YOU.
Your support during our annual drive helps improve the health and wellness of the residents, opens doors through education, and upholds the dignity and quality of care for the children and elders at the Hogar de Niñas, Hogar de Ancianos, and those we serve in the wider community.

Our Mission Statement: Rooted in faith and solidarity, we walk alongside the residents of the Hogar de Niñas, Hogar de Ancianos, and Casa del Niño offering presence, care, and hope. Made possible by the generosity of St. Michael parishioners, our mission brings education, healing, nourishment, and dignity. We answer Christ’s call to love and serve with joy.
Who We Serve: Our committee was formed in 2004, with our first trip following in 2005. We serve all who live and work in the Hogar de Niñas (home for girls) and Hogar de Ancianos (home for the elderly) in Santa Rosa de Copán and the Casa del Nino (home for children) in Tegucigalpa, Honduras

What We Do: We provide assistance to each home in several ways:

1. Daily Operations

We support the basic, day-to-day needs that allow each home to run with stability and care.

• Nutritious food
• Clothing and personal items
• Safe, clean shelter
• General upkeep and household supplies

2. Health & Wellness

We invest in the full well-being of each resident: body, mind, and spirit.

• Medical care and medicines
• Dental and vision services
• Mental health support, including small groups and professional counseling
• Spiritual care and formation

3. Education

We believe education opens doors and builds a path toward lasting change.

• Tuition for high school students
• Tutoring and academic support
• Scholarships for post-high school education and training

4. Special Projects

We respond to evolving needs that strengthen the homes and improve quality of life.

• Capital improvements and facility upgrades
• Transportation needs
• Other critical or urgent needs as identified by the homes
