Children's First Reconciliation and Holy Communion
In the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas, children receive First Communion as early as second grade. Parent formation begins in first grade - see calendars below. The first formators preparing children for First Reconciliation and Communion are the parents, supported by formation in the Catholic School and/or the Religious Education program.
