Internationally acclaimed speaker Jason Evert is coming to SMA on October 7th. Jason Evert has a great gift of speaking to youth about current cultural issues are your face each day: including questions about gender, our identity, and the sacredness of our bodies.


This is not just a presentation; it’s a retreat-style experience designed to help families discover God’s beautiful plan for love, identity, and the human person. This “Double Feature” evening brings together two of Jason Evert’s most impactful talks, combined with a period of prayer and reflection, to transform the way your family views relationships.

Purified brings families (13+) together to discover God’s plan for love and opens up an opportunity for them to continue the discussion about this important topic at home, in a healthy and easy way with resources that work. This presentation is the new version of Jason’s renowned talk Love or Lust, where he mixes humor with down-to-earth practicality that removes any awkwardness, making the difficult conversations about love much easier. Families will leave with an understanding of the good news of chastity, a healthy sense of self-worth, and the ability, if needed, to start again.

Gender and the Theology of Your Body will follow after a short break. This talk asks, “What’s the meaning of sex, gender, and the human body?” The truth of masculinity and femininity are being questioned like never before. Discover how your body as a man or woman reveals your identity and calling. This talk is for teens and adults and provides the opportunity to discuss this difficult topic facing teens and families today. 

The event concludes with Eucharistic Adoration, praise and worship, and an opportunity to receive the sacrament of Reconciliation. This format transforms a couple of talks into a retreat for the family, allowing them to encounter the source of purity, healing, and renewal, Jesus Christ.

Jason Evert has traveled to six continents to bring his message to more than one million people over the past 20 years, including World Youth Days in Australia, Spain, and Poland. Jason earned a master’s degree in Theology, and undergraduate degrees in Counseling and Theology, with a minor in Philosophy at Franciscan University of Steubenville.

He is a best-selling author of 15 books, including Saint John Paul the Great, How to Find Your Soulmate without Losing Your Soul, and the curriculum YOU: Life, Love, and the Theology of the Body. He and his wife Crystalina are frequent guests on radio programs throughout the country, and their television appearances include MSNBC, Fox News, the BBC, and EWTN. Together, they run the website chastity.com as well as the Chastity Project ministry and lead an international alliance of young people who promote purity in more than 40 countries.
